Our mission

Hi there!

These smiling faces are part of our team of dauntless volunteers whom we refer to as “helpers.” DWF helpers reach out to to widows within and outside our community and connect them to resources. The great part about all of this is — you’re welcome to join us!

Our values at DWF

01
Compassion
At the core of everything we do is compassion. We do not expect that volunteers experience the exact pain of widows - as nobody can feel pain the same way. However, we expect that volunteers acknowledge the experiences of those we cater for, and demonstrate this in their relationship with them.
02
Selflessness
We believe that “helpers” in our family should demonstrate voluntary commitment to the goals of DWF.Joining our team means you are willing to take up responsibility in catering for low-income widows within our community.
03
Courteousness and Respect for others
DWF is a family to all helpers. We expect that individuals who volunteer with us spread only love and are courteous to one another, respect members of our community, and the widows in our community.
